New to golf betting? How it works in one minute
- A tournament is four rounds of 18 holes, Thursday to Sunday. Lowest total score wins. After two rounds there's usually a cut: only the top 65 and ties (50 at the Masters) play the weekend.
- Outright (to win): pick the winner. With 120 to 156 players, even the best player in the world is usually an underdog against the field: +400 means a $100 bet wins $400 (about a 20% chance).
- Top 5, top 10, top 20: pay if the player finishes that high. Ties at the edge are paid by "dead heat" rules (if three players tie for 10th, a top-10 bet gets a third of the payout).
- Make or miss the cut: does he play the weekend?
- Matchups: one player against another over 72 holes. If one misses the cut, the other wins; a tie is usually a push (your money back).
- Our numbers are probabilities from 20,000 simulated tournaments, not promises. No free archive of golf odds exists, so we can't prove we match the books; for the majors we show their price next to ours.
